UR: Bullying In Virtual Reality

In 2016, for the Swedish Educational Broadcasting Company UR, we created an eye-opening anti-bullying VR experience based on real stories. Directed by Måns Månsson, the one-shot POV film presents a new and confronting perspective on bullying. Through the Oculus Rift, we take people back to school to experience first-hand what it’s like to be given nasty glares, be verbally abused and be intimidated by physical aggression. The emotional impact VR can have can be seen in the film, showing how the harsh reality of bullying hits home when people are put into the shoes of the person being bullied. Two years later, researchers at Stanford proved that VR is more powerful in creating empathy compared to other media. Link
